In the hottest and latest news from Tech world, Google is acquiring Motorola Mobility for a whopping 12.5 Billion with almost 60% share of Motorola.
This move is expected to further strengthen Google mobile OS Android which will now have powerful hardware counterpart. Yet Google has said that Android will still an Open platform.
On the message Google’s CEO Larry Page quoted
“This acquisition will not change our commitment to run Android as an open platform. Motorola will remain a licensee of Android and Android will remain open. We will run Motorola as a separate business. Many hardware partners have contributed to Android’s success and we look forward to continuing to work with all of them to deliver outstanding user experiences.”
So it’s another indication and message from Google that it’s on and ready for any challenges on smartphone and tab market.
