Facebook to combat Trolling and other abuse with “ClickCEOP”

Facebook (London) has promised to public that it would design a new security measure to curb and stop abuse of stranger’s online and bullying instances. Engineers at Facebook are working on new systems and technology to fight and curb the trend of “trolling”, where anonymous online users “bombard” and “flush” victims with offensive messages or abuse.

With the launch of new application kids and young users of Facebook can report (but not limited to) directly to site authorities about bullying and suspicious behaviour.Users have already downloaded this application called “ClickCEOP” since launch since last month.“We’re working with Facebook. They are a good partner and we’re going to get closer and closer to them,” The Telegraph quoted Jim Gamble, the chief executive of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), as telling ITV News. Gamble has also warned that there is increase in complaints from parents and children reporting alleged paedophiles, bullies and hackers who are exploiting the site.

Other measure include developing more new programmes to combat threat, some measure are users who send a lot of friends request to strangers and who are rejected hence will be monitored .Also to Facebook will be keeping a watch on logging of multiple account, creating multiple accounts with the same IP address and if found fraud to remove these duplicate accounts.
