Adobe on September 2010 launching The Adobe Museum of Digital Media (AMDM).AMDM is unique virtual space to preserve and showcase ground breaking digital work; and also its influence on society and culture.Ever changing exhibits covering the area from Photography to product development. These creations and contributions are curated by guest curators, who each will be leaders in this field of Art, technology and business.It’s different from just a space for public, its completely digital and an ideal gallery for displaying, viewing digital media. It’s open around the year and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
About the structure:
Designed by Italian architect Filipoo Innocenti who is master of fluid urban designs for large, public installations. Innocenti collaborated closely with award-winning designer Piero Frescobaldi, who served as the “building contractor” for construction of the virtual space. Adobe is proud to serve as patron on the project.
Opening:
First exhibit of museum is scheduled to be opened on august 2010, which will feature Tony Oursler, a New York artist whose explorations in moving images and digital communications have been featured in museums on both U.S. coasts, as well as in Spain and New Zealand and to be curated by Tom Eccles, executive director of the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
