The self-proclaimed internet activist group “Anonymous” has come out public press release that they are going to bring down Facebook on 5th of Nov. In the message to public Anonymous has said that earlier this year there were rumors spread that attacks were going against Facebook (on March 15th) but which was just a hoax. But now Anonymous has proclaimed that it will bring down world number 1 social network on Nov 5th of this year.
Anonymous in its audio message says that “Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world. Some of these so-called white hat InfoSec firms are working for authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria”
It comments that Facebook earns money by selling all the information of users, and once any information is added by any user it remains there even if users removes it, set privacy or even delete the account permanently.
Well we are not sure how genuine is the information. Anyways we hope nothing bad happens.
