Google Docs improves by adding more extensions.

On 18th Feb ,Google announced that they have improved the Google Docs by adding more extensions. This means that now Google Docs will support many more extensions than before. So now you can view all your favorite Micorosoft Office Documents or your PDF files with out downloading and cluttering your system ,just simply by viewing them online by your web broser.

Supported files types are follows.

  • Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
  • Apple Pages (.PAGES)
  • Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
  • Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
  • Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
  • PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
  • TrueType (.TTF)
  • XML Paper Specification (.XPS)

Now in Gmail you will see a link “View” which when you click will open up the document.
